Dean Wilson To Wear Shift MX Gear For 2018

After beginning his 2017 season aboard a privateer Yamaha, Dean Wilson may have had one of the most storybook seasons of them all.

Starting the year at A1 in a van with a self bought Yamaha yz450f in the back, he was unsure of his future of racing.  Wilson was then picked up by the Rockstar Energy/Factory Husqvarna team just four rounds into the 2017 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series.  There was no looking back after that as Deano went on to pilot his Husqvarna FC450 to two top 5 sx finishes, 3rd at the Monster Energy Cup, and two overall podiums in the AMA Outdoor National Series with his season best finish of 2nd coming at Spring Creek in July.

Wilson will now be making the move to sporting the Shift MX 3LUE and 3LACK Label racewear for the 2018 season.  As one of the entrants for this weekends highly anticipated Aus-X Open, Deano will begin sporting his new Shift MX gear down under!

Phil Nicoletti Re-Signs with JGRMX

The AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team has signed their fourth and final SX Lites rider for the 2018 season; Phil Nicoletti.

Nicoletti is no stranger to the JGRMX team, having been a part of their program since the 2014 season.  He has played a “Phil-in” role in years past, ready to step in should one of the premier riders get hurt.  Last year we saw the Team expand their efforts into the 250 classes after a switch to Suzuki machines.  Nicoletti was aboard one of the lites bikes before cutting his season short after an injury in a press day incident.

Nicoletti will join Kyle Peters, Jimmy Decotis, and defending Western Regional 250sx Champion Justin Hill.  The four riders will contest the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship before shrinking to a team of two for the AMA Outdoor National Championship.
